Burn-Up W is a typical "Girls with Guns" Anime. The anime starts out fun and frivolious. An unprofessinal hostage situation that is beyond absurd, followed by mecha rampaging. Burn-Up W, the W stands for Warrior. They are a specail police force that is activated in times of crisis. The Warriors are in thier "normal" lives part of the police department in various departments.
The characters are the same from Burn-Up, but the character designs are different. In Burn-Up W we get to find out more about the personalites of the Warriors, than we did in Burn-Up. Each character has a personallity trait that is exagerated, this can make or break anime. Good anime does it well, bad anime, does it very badly. Burn-Up W does this well. This is not very deep anime, it is fluff. But sometimes fluff is fun. I enjoy watching this Anime, it is not real serious, but it is fun.
