On Friday afternoon we left Indianapolis with Chris Canary, Kat Robertson, and myself in one car, and Susan Rati, Megan Cowper, and two non-MIBs (Matt and Esther Duda) in the other car. We drove over to Columbus Ohio. We got to the hotel, and checked in. We were not able to really go out to dinner since Kat had a 6:00 P.M. game to run. My first game wasn't till 11:00 A.M. Saturday. (or so I thought)
I later found out that that my first game didn't start till Noon. So at around 11:00A.M. I went to check and see how many people had signed up for my Tribes Demo. I had two people. OK, I can run it with two, and run two charactors myself. Later I went and checked again, and both of my players dropped out. So no go on Tribes.
In the afternoon I had a Chez Geek demo scheduled. I had 10 people show up for this! I did not play in this demo. Only two of the people had played previously. We ran through a demo hand. Then we played. It took over 2 hours, and I had to shuffle the deck twice before someone finally won. Then I had a real delema. I had two people who were one point away from winning, and one person two points away from winning. All at the same time, the one lady played a card, that would give her the one point to win, and two others threw down cards that gave everyone a +1. So I effectively had 3 winners, before I could really figure out who won, everyone thanked me for a great game and split. I was in shock and did not get anyone's name, nor did I give out the prize I had to give them. I cleaned up the table and wondered off.
On Sunday I had a Chez Geek Demo at 11:00A.M. This did not go off, no one signed up or showed up. I was very disapointed, since I had had a wonderful turnout the day before.
We left Marcon around 6:00 or so, Megan Cowper, Chris Canary and myself were in the car on the way back. Kat Robertson, Susan Rati, and the Duda's were in the other car. I met with Mike Cowper at Pendelton Pike and I-70 to drop off Megan. Chris and I then went and got gas for my car. There was a glitch with the system at the gas station, and they did not have a record of me pumping gas. So I left them my name and number in case they found that I had pumped gas. As of Thursday, I still had not heard anything. So I guess I don't have to pay. YEA!!
I also have pictures for Andy Fix's Frag game, and a second one where you can see Andy Fix in the background trying to take a picture.
Kat also did a Chez Geek demo, which you can see here, and here, and here.
